Athra
Strong theocratic realm, primarily known for its strict codes restricting the use of magic. Birthplace and home of The Shielding Hand.

Arkhosia
Large collection of islands that form the empire of the dragonborn. Since the plague only the nearest island is now open to other races.

The City States
Collection of four cities that broke away from the Kingdom of Meurvor and the Kythern Empire with the aid of the dragonborn and Durtarge outpost in the Dividing Reaches. One of the cities was destroyed by a giant collaboration of arcane might in a failed attempt to stop the spread of the plague.

Duchy of Ambrin
One of two former duchies that broke away from the Kingdom of Meurvor during the plague. Has strongly resisted all attempts to reunite with the Kingdom. Part of The Iron League and member of the Panadielus Covenant.

Harath
Formally part of the now divided Kingdom of Lorkrin. Has highest concentration of Durtarge of any human realm and holds the city of Mournhold near the former entrance to the Durtargin realms. Part of The Iron League and member of the Panadielus Covenant.

The Iron League
Loosely aligned group of five realms what have sworn to support each from external martial and political threats.

Kingdom of Meurvor
Second oldest surviving human realm and one of the largest. Has been slow to recover from the plague and has had to resist a number of recent border skirmishes with the Empire. Lost a number of territories to rebellion during the plague but has reintegrated most of them using a combination of threat, political negotiation and military might. Part of the Panadielus Coventant

Kythern Empire
First human realm to arise after the chaos of the Mage Wars. Considers itself the natural successor of the Nerath Empire.

Lavan
One of two former duchies that broke away from the Kingdom of Meurvor during the plague. Has resisted all attempts to reunite with the Kingdom, but is rumoured to be in secret negotiation with the King. Part of The Iron League and member of the Panadielus Covenant.

Maethyr
Formally part of the now divided Kingdom of Lorkrin. Is currently one of the most secure and peaceful of the human lands. Part of The Iron League and member of the Panadielus Covenant.

The Nomad Lands
Originally part of the Nerath Empire, but never recovered from barbarism after its fall. Consists of wide expanses of rolling hills and grassland populated by bands of nomadic humans and sarleth. Has repelled a number of invasion attempts by the Kythern Empire

Quadra
Sister realm to Athra and also a theocracy. The two lands exist in a uneasy state of mutual support but are suspicious of each others ongoing motives. Has highest number of Ecal-Emir of all human realms.

Vilm
Formally part of the now divided Kingdom of Lorkrin. Recently the former ruler was overthrown in a military coup, but the new leader has reaffirmed the lands former ties and commitments. Part of The Iron League and Panadielus Covenant.
